Job Summary:

Improves and drives home visitation and mental health services community programs while establishing a basis for evaluation and research endeavors. Works closely with leadership to further Early Childhood Center of Excellence’s overall vision and mission.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Coordinates Overall Early Childhood Center of Excellence (ECCE) Program.
  • Collaborates with ECCE leadership to push forward community programs, partnership development, and research engagement.
  • Collaborates with program leads and community partners to ensure clear definition of milestones and deliverables are agreed upon and met.
  • Establishes and drives priority initiatives of ECCE programs, including coordinating internally across program areas and externally across key stakeholders.
  • Identifies and engages community stakeholders and partners and ensures accurate dispersal of efforts and information about the ECCE throughout Douglas and Cochise County.
  • Identifies and oversees potential projects and community events, community trainings and community-wide need assessments.
  • Facilitates escalation of issues to timely and effective resolution.
  • Coaches and mentors trainees and students to ensure program objectives are met efficiently.
  • Designs and refines key performance indicators and metrics.

Develops Mental Health Program.

  • Assesses current capacity for mental health agencies in Cochise County to work with children and families.
  • Identifies gaps in care and areas for improvement.
  • Assists in screening implementation for adverse childhood experiences (ACE) in Douglas. This includes methodology for screening selection and protocol.
  • Leads development of short and long-term interventions for parents who have high ACE scores.

Develops Home Visitation Program.

  • Identifies challenges and limitations for Chiricahua Community Health Centers, Inc. (CCHCI) and the ECCE to implement and run a home visitation program for high utilizer patients.
  • Visits other entities that have successfully implemented home visitation programs.
  • Works closely with leadership to develop the protocol and procedure for selecting patients, scheduling visits, and visiting the home. Joins and expands capacity of the Douglas home visitation collaborative. Engages in discussions on how to grow the collaborative, facilitate data sharing, and make it more patient-centered.  

Oversees ECCE Efforts in Research and Publication.

  • Oversees research partnerships with outside research entities.
  • Publishes results of First 365 intervention. This includes first-author manuscripts and corresponding author contributions. Works directly with CCHCI NextGen data team to assist in organization and analysis of data.

Required Education, Experience, Certificates & Licenses:

  • BS/BA required; advanced degree (e.g. MBA, MPH, PhD, social work) preferred.
  • Three years of project management experience required. Five years or more of relevant non-profit program management experience preferred.
  • Experience in community engagement, with experience in building and maintaining partnerships.
  • Experience working on research projects, writing IRBs, analyzing data (quantitative and qualitative) and publishing manuscripts preferred.
  • Experience in program and/or project evaluation, including comfort in use of evaluation tools and methods preferred.
  • Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the necessary skills and sensitivity.
  • Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance may be required if requesting mileage reimbursement.
