Job Description

Essential Job Duties:

  • Assists in Program Development and Oversight
  • Develops and maintains up-to-date Patient Service Representative (PSR) workflow.
  • Serves as PSR Super User.
  • Produces operational reports and conducts frequent quality assurance audits of PSR staff.
  • In collaboration with the Health Center Operations Manager, conducts hiring, training, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and other personnel actions as required.
  • Facilitates, promotes and provides ongoing staff training and development.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of PSR staff.
  • Completes various related special projects, which may require reviewing and analyzing information, identifying problems, recommending solutions and writing reports.
  • Monitors productivity of patient service representatives and generates reports.
  • Prepares dashboard reports by staff for review.
  • Supports implementation of Clinical Quality Initiatives, Meaningful Use and Patient Centered Medical Home Initiatives.
  • Assists in the development of policies and procedures regarding operations and management of all center departments and operations.
  • Educates and ensures staff understanding and compliance of CCHCI policies and procedures.
  • Engages in strategic planning activities and implements strategic decisions into operational plans.

Required Education, Experience, Certificates & Licenses:

  • Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, business management or a related field preferred.
  • Supervisory or other leadership experience preferred.
  • Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the necessary combination of skills and sensitivity.

 Required Language Skills:

  • Ability to comprehend and compose instructions, correspondence and communications in English in both oral and written format.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, internal providers and staff and other agency staff working in cooperation with the organization.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to occasionally exert enough force to move objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to constantly remain in a stationary position.
  • Ability to occasionally move about inside the work place to access files, operate office equipment, etc.
  • Possesses hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to constantly operate computer, telephone, and other office machinery.
  • Possesses close visual acuity necessary to accurately record and view information on a computer monitor, handwritten and typed documents.
  • Ability to discern the nature of sounds at a normal spoken volume.
